Some of the best discoveries are waiting just outside the door.
A bird building a nest. Animal tracks pressed into the mud. A leaf changing color. Wildflowers growing along a fence line. The quiet magic of noticing something you've never seen before.
That's the heart behind Rowan's Path.
Hosted by Rowan the Bear, guide to nature and keeper of the woodland path, this peaceful corner of Maple Grove is an invitation to slow down, look a little closer, and discover the wonder that surrounds us every day.
As a homeschooling mom of seven, some of our favorite learning moments didn't happen around a table. They happened on nature walks, beside streams, under trees, and in the middle of asking questions we didn't immediately know the answers to.
We followed animal tracks, collected leaves, watched the seasons change, and spent countless hours simply exploring the world around us.
That's why Rowan's Path exists.
Children are naturally curious. They notice things adults often walk right past. A feather on the ground. A mushroom tucked beneath a log. A spiderweb sparkling in the morning sun. Sometimes all they need is a little encouragement to keep exploring.
Here you'll find field guides, nature studies, woodland toys, and resources designed to help children build a deeper connection with the natural world through observation, exploration, and play.
There is no right way to begin.
Take a nature walk. Start a collection. Follow a trail. Learn the name of a bird. Press a leaf into a journal. Sit quietly beneath a tree and see what you notice.
At Rowan's Path, we believe wonder begins with paying attention.
We're so glad you've joined us on the trail.
